PSST ... DO YOU WANT THE SECRET TO ANTI-AGEING?

Why Ceremonial Grade Matcha v standard Matcha?

Ceremonial Grade Matcha is the highest quality green tea available and has been used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies for centuries.  Ceremonial Grade Matcha is made from the youngest tea leaves having been shade-grown and stone-ground into a fine powder.  This ensures that it is the most vibrant green tea powder.

We have sampled hundreds of samples of Matcha in order to bring you a Ceremonial Grade Matcha that is not bitter like other grades of Matcha powders but rather naturally sweet and florally.  It yields a refined, balanced and smooth flavour.   Low quality Matcha displays stark contrast to our Ceremonial Grade Matcha – it is coarser, often bitter and will not be enjoyable without sweetener for instance.

Anything below Ceremonial Grade Matcha is a less vibrant green having used less delicate leaves.   Blissful Life Ceremonial Matcha Tea is more potent and concentrated than other forms of green tea because of the amount of antioxidants it has in it.

The food grade Matcha tea that you tend to find in Matcha flavoured foods and drinks in cafes is often combined with other ingredients such as colouring and sweeteners.

Here are five reasons why Ceremonial Matcha is the little secret to keeping you youthful.

1. Full of Antioxidants and reduces inflammation

Did you know that a cup of Blissful Life Ceremonial Matcha Tea has 137 times more antioxidants than a regular cup of green tea?

Antioxidants are substances that can prevent or slow down damage to cells caused by free radicals.  Matcha can combat inflammation, oxidation and ageing due to its high number of antioxidants and therefore may make us not only feel good but look good too.

2. Matcha burns fat

Matcha also supports weight loss as it has more antioxidants than green tea.  EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) is the major antioxidant in green tea and is linked to potential weight loss benefits.   Further, consuming Ceremonial Matcha improves the body’s ability to utilise energy.

3. Matcha calms the body

Matcha is enriched with L-Theanine which is linked to relaxation.  This amino acid enhances calmness, induces relaxation and even promotes more restful sleep cycles.  Within half an hour of consuming Matcha, you will be calm, alert and in a happy state of mind.

4. Matcha slows down the ageing process

When it comes to anti-ageing, antioxidants are a key player in ensuring that the body does not age pre-maturely.   The important thing to note about Ceremonial Matcha green tea is that it is great for hydrating the body.  With your body hydrated, your skin is hydrated too.

5. Matcha detoxifies the blood

Ceremonial Grade Matcha has a rich concentration of chlorophyll.  Chlorophyll helps alkalises and detoxifies the blood.  It can also protect our skin from sun damage and reduce ageing, which means less wrinkles and sunspots.  Chlorophyll also helps with the elimination of toxins and heavy metals from the body. It also allows oxygen and nutrients to be transported to cells more efficiently, which helps to keep the skin looking clear and radiant.
