Matcha Clay Face Mask

@alojarfa

Your skin is exposed to so much in a day – cleansers, makeup, pollution, temperature changes – that can affect its health and appearance.  No matter what your skin type, or what your skin is exposed, or whether you are male or female, a mask can help keep skin soft, moisturised, and healthy.

 Check out this Matcha Clay Face Mask:

  • 1 teaspoon Blissful Life Co ceremonial grade matcha
  • 1 teaspoon bentonite clay (we like the Redmond brand)
  • 1 drop frankincense essential oils (we like the Young Living brand)

This mask is great for sensitive skin or acne prone skin.

Bentonite clay can exfoliate without irritating the skin.  It can help remove oil & dirt from the skin’s surface, as well as remove toxins. It may also have a calming effect on inflamed breakouts.

Ceremonial Grade Matcha powder is full of antioxidants that fight damage from free radicals.  It contains anti-inflammatory properties that soothe redness and irritation, plus, its energising abilities help brighten dull and tired skin.

Frankincense essential oils is used to treat dry skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, age spots, and scars.

Mix together all ingredients, and when ready to use add one teaspoon of filtered water.  Add more water as desired, to get the right consistency for the mask.  Apply the mask to the face, and let set for 10 – 15 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

The nice thing about this mask is that it isn’t filled with harsh chemicals or expensive to prepare. Although the mask may help support healthy skin, you may want to do a patch test if you have sensitive skin.
