One of our morning rituals is making a warm cup of matcha. We will slowly be sharing recipes with you.
While matcha has become very trendy in the health and wellness space and can be found at most coffee shops- did you know that most prepared matcha at your local café contains more than 25g of added sugar? The reason being is that many coffee shops use sugar laden blends rather than ceremonial quality matcha that has no nasties.
While our favourite way to drink matcha is straight up with water, we have so many recipes with matcha which we love and will share with you.
We love using @vitalproteins collagen creamer vanilla (made with coconut milk powder) to make our matcha extra creamy without the added thickeners and emulsifiers traditionally found in milk alternatives.
While our recipe uses maple syrup, you can easily omit it as our Blissful Life Co matcha is naturally sweet and has natural notes of honey in it.
Whether you are #keto, #vegan, #paleo or #aip you can adjust this recipe for you.
To make this ADAPTOGENIC KETO MATCHA LATTE, you will need:
1 cup filtered water, heated
1/2 heaped tsp of @blissful_life_co ceremonial matcha
1 scoop @vitalproteins collagen peptides (omit to keep it vegan)
1 scoop @vitalproteins collagen creamer (omit to keep it vegan)
½ tsp maple syrup (optional)
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cardamom (optional)
Heat water to 80 degrees. Pour water into @nutribullet blender and add matcha, vanilla creamer, collagen, and spices. Blend ingredients until frothy.
Alternatively, you can whisk the matcha in ¼ cup of warm water before combining it with the creamer and the rest of the ingredients.
